These two images are from my cousin Bertie, who has been a wonderment in finding stuff that she tells me she didn't think anybody cared about.

This is a shot of the downtown, 1961, looking north. The old lodge hall is in the center. Just to the left of it is the town hall.

In the houses lived a variety of people over the years ... I remember a few of them. Davises lived in the house on the end of the block.

Bertie took this photo of Grandpa (Merle) Updike, also in 1961. His back is to the town square.

In the background is the service station. Boob Thackrey ran it when I lived there. Grandpa was 75, Bertie says, when this photo was taken.
