1954 title game

There was discussion on a Facebook thread about the name of the St. Michael's team mascot. We always knew them as the Saints, but later they were called the Trojans. This story proves they were identified in the 1950s as the Saints.

I need to point out that the story is slightly biased.

In any case, "B Logan" is Burnell; Weston was Dick; others on the team included Eldon Cornelius, Ron Jarrett, J.C. Linegar, Chuck Logan, Butch Alvey, John Bowers, Dale, Bobby Poe, Freddy Smith, Steve Snider, John and Ray Thackrey. Chester Bosse was coach.

St. Michael's players I can identify are Ron Deffner, Jay Rosenberger and Michael Cooper. That could be Charlie Jonas. Some Brookville kids from that year included Dave Berg, Jim Willhite and a Sintz who sounds suspiciously like an East Fork kid.

The "Milan" in this clip is some silly little team that went on to star in a movie of the same name.
